Dexter Bars & Restaurants
The Beer Grotto
8059 Main St., Dexter, MI 48130
For an upscale bar with great specials, the Beer Grotto is the number one place in Dexter. Specializing in craft beer, you can bring a growler home with you for a pretty low price. For happy hour, they serve almost any beer for $4. And on Fridays and Saturdays, you can bring in your own food and get $1 off beers. But it isn’t all beer here. The bar food is great, and the ambiance is beautiful: It’s rustic with and full of unfinished wood fixtures.

Sushi Time has some of the best sushi in the entire area. From their spicy California roll (the crowd favorite) to their crab Ruby Roll, everything here is served as fresh as can be and with a great presentation. The soups here are good as well, especially the miso. The ambiance is classic American sushi restaurant, a standard sushi bar with pretty simple chairs and tables. But that’s no problem here — you’ll be far too busy focusing on the food.

If you find yourself in Dexter in the morning looking for a great place to eat, you won’t find much better than Riverview Cafe. Their omelettes are some of the best in town. However, the most popular dish here is the poached egg over a corned beef skillet. And when’s the last time you had a great serving of rice pudding? Trust me, it’s been too long. Head over to Riverview Cafe the first chance you get.

Terry B’s has some of the most delectable dishes you’ll find in Dexter. From their salmon with asparagus to their mind-blowing Berkshire Pork Chop with the bone in, everything here is sure to make your mouth water — including the drinks. Terry B’s is the perfect mix of a bar and a restaurant. While there’s plenty of room at the bar, most of the establishment is restaurant seating. The food is definitely upscale here, making it the perfect place for a first date in Dexter.
Aubree’s Pizzeria and Grill
8031 Main St., Dexter, MI 48130
What a charm Aubree’s Pizzeria and Grill is. The pizza here is astonishing. Meat lovers: Go with the Mighty Meat. Stacked with a handful of meats and your choice of flavored crust, you can’t go wrong with this one if you’re a die-hard carnivore. But if you’re looking for something a little easier, the shaved brussels sprouts salad will definitely set you right. The ambiance here is pretty upscale for a pizza joint. It’s very open and has some of the most beautifully polished wood you’ve ever seen.
