Williamston Bars & Restaurants

Tavern 109
115 E. Grand River, Williamston, MI 48895
517-655-2100
Featuring a modern rustic atmosphere, Tavern 109 is the best place for seeing where Williamston is going in the future. With a bright ambiance and a beautiful brick interior, this restaurant is great for an afternoon drink and meal. The pulled pork sandwich on a pretzel bun is on the best dishes in town, while the whitefish dip is a wonderful choice for seafood lovers. If you like craft beer, you’ll rejoice in their dozen or so offerings.

Riverhouse Inn
310 W. Grand River, Williamston, MI 48895
517-655-4300
Although lobster mac ’n’ cheese has been popping up in various establishments around the area, the lobster mac you’ll find at Riverhouse Inn is hands-down the best. With long, thick noodles, a perfectly creamy sauce and just the right amount of fresh spices, the mac ’n’ cheese here is a far cry from what you’re used to. While seafood is their specialty (with everything from salmon cakes to shrimp pasta), the menu is ripe with other options. If wings are your thing, be sure to try out the variety of sauces they offer here.

Sunnyside Cafe
725 W. Grand River, Williamston, MI 48895
517-655-7006
You will not find a better breakfast joint in Williamston than the Sunnyside Cafe. The omelettes here are to die for. From the make your own with over a dozen options to their speciality omelettes like the Irish (with corned beef hash) or the Meat Lovers, this part of the menu is always a safe bet. But the breakfast sides are pretty cheap, so you can make your own decently sized breakfast dish for just south of $10.

Spag's Bar & Grill
1268 E. Grand River Rd., Williamston, MI 48895
517-655-4888
While Spag’s Bar & Grill has been a bit overshadowed by some of the trendier restaurants in Williamston, the food here is amazing comfort food. From the piping hot speciality pizzas to the Italian mac ’n’ cheese, their menu choices are totally filling with just a bit of nuance. They also have tons of calzone options. For something outside of the box, go with the Hawaiian calzone, it won’t let you down!

Red Cedar Grill
105 E. Grand River, Williamston, MI 48895
517-655-1100
For huge portions of Latin food, the Red Cedar Grill is Williamston’s best spot. The carnitas (slow-cooked pork) are the crowd favorite here. So be sure to try the Jonnycakes topped with tender carnitas and covered in cilantro, sour cream and a variety of other fresh spices. If you’re looking for something a little more familiar, you can’t go wrong with their cranberry and pork sandwich. There’s also a full bar and a beautiful ambiance here, so plan on staying for a while.
