Ypsilanti Bars & Restaurants

Casablanca

2333 Washtenaw Rd., Ypsilanti, MI 48197

734-961-7825

Don’t let the name fool you, Casablanca specializes in Middle-Eastern and Moroccan fare. So expect some of the best lamb you’ll find in Ypsilanti at Casablanca. While it may look a little unfamiliar (well maybe quite unfamiliar to some), the Sweet Lamb Tagine is stellar. It comes with huge lamb chunks amongst a variety of spices, prunes and almonds. The sauce it’s cooked in is to die for, so make sure you order some bread to dip in it. If you’re looking for something a more American style, you’ll have to settle for their gyro.

Beezy's

20 N. Washington St., Ypsilanti, MI 48197

734-485-9625

Beezy’s is one of Ypsilanti’s most popular restaurants for breakfast food. The cinnamon roll French toast goes perfectly with a steaming cup of coffee, although you may need to order a few cups since this dish is HUGE! The egg and pepper sandwich is amazing too, and the breakfast potato side is cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, it’s hard to see how anybody could order a different side. The ambiance here is bright and the waitstaff is very welcoming. In all, you won’t find a better breakfast joint in Ypsilanti.

ABC Microbrewery

720 Norris St., Ypsilanti, MI 48198

734-480-2739

ABC Microbrewery is the best place in Ypsilanti for IPAs and great artisan meals. The BBQ chicken pizza on flatbread is crunchy Southern perfection. The sandwhices here are amazing too. The corned beef on rye is perfect for an afternoon fill-up, while the strong beers (with some clocking in at 10% ABV) are best left for the evening. There are also tons of board games here for your table. So order up another drink after your meal and take in the trendy ambiance of ABC.

The Wurst Bar

705 W. Cross St., Ypsilanti, MI 48197

734-485-6720

If you like bratwurst and sausages, the Wurst Bar is a must-visit. Their best specialties are the Chicago wurst, overflowing with veggie toppings and an amazing mustard sauce, and the fried hot wing wurst sprinkled with blue cheese. They also have a fish wurst, so if you’re feeling adventurous, be sure to give it a shot. The homemade tartar sauce the cover it with is to die for. They do serve more than bratwurst, with options like a brisket burger and some amazing poutine.

La Torre Taqueria

1525 Washtenaw Ave., Ypsilanti, MI 48197

734-905-7220

La Torre Taqueria is Ypsilanti’s hotspot for Mexican food. The tamales here an amazing deal and one of the best choices on the menu. At just under over a dollar a piece, it’s easy to see why they’re a crowd favorite. The queso tamale, packed with nothing but cheese and serrano peppers, is worthy enough even for meat lovers. They also make great Mexican sandwiches, so be on the lookout for the tortas section of the menu.
